Studying the Bible -- What is the Book of Revelation About?

Though the source of much wild speculation, the book of Revelation is basically about the enemies of God fighting against Him. The book is called the apocalypse, or uncovering, for God revealed things symbolically that would "shortly come to pass." In the end, no matter the number or strength of enemies rallied against God's people, He would fight for them and the church would be victorious. Finally, the enemies of God-including Satan-would be punished forever and God's followers would live with Him eternally.
