Studying the Bible -- What is the Book of Titus About?

Like the letters to Timothy, the letter to Titus is a letter from Paul to a young preacher. Paul opened with instructions to Titus to organize the churches in Crete with their own elders to oversee the churches of which they were members. He also advised Titus on various admonitions to preach to the members old and young, male and female. As he concluded the short letter, Paul encouraged Titus to remain faithful, to be a good example, and to stand firm on the word of God against false teachers, but in a spirit of wisdom and humility.
